Tulip Surprise

This Liliodendron Tulipifera (Tulip Poplar) blossom is painted in Pastel. It was painted four days before Charlie passed away. One of his favorite trees and blossoms. The beautiful blue softness of the outer cup and green and orange of the inner cup, makes for an interesting blossom. The stamen are a soft yellow and very floaty.
The tree has to be 10 or so years old to produce beautiful blossoms.
